Account information: When you sign up via Google OAuth, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture. We store your display name and email to personalize your experience.

Usage data: We collect information about how you use the Service, including scripts generated, platforms selected, features accessed, and session duration.

Content you provide: Voice profile samples, topic inputs, and context notes you enter are processed to generate scripts. This content is stored to improve your experience.

Device and technical data: We collect IP addresses, browser type, operating system, and referring URLs to operate and improve the Service.

We use your information to:

• Provide, operate, and improve the Service
• Personalize generated content to match your voice and preferences
• Process payments and manage your subscription
• Send transactional emails (receipts, usage alerts, account notices)
• Send optional marketing emails if you opt in
• Detect and prevent fraud or abuse
• Comply with legal obligations

Voice samples you submit are used exclusively to tailor generated content to your writing style. We do not sell, share, or use this data to train general-purpose AI models without your explicit consent. You can delete your voice profile at any time from Settings.

We do not sell your personal information. We may share data with:

Service providers: Trusted third parties that help us operate the Service (payment processors, cloud hosting, analytics). These parties are contractually obligated to protect your data.

Legal requirements: We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or to protect the rights and safety of OkayWrite, our users, or the public.

Business transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of the transaction. We will notify you before this occurs.

We use cookies and similar technologies to maintain your session, remember preferences, and analyze usage. You can control cookies through your browser settings, though disabling them may affect Service functionality.

We use analytics tools to understand aggregate usage patterns. These tools do not identify you personally.

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal information within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it by law or for legitimate business purposes such as fraud prevention.

We implement industry-standard security measures including encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest, access controls, and regular security reviews. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

OkayWrite is operated in the United States. If you access the Service from outside the US, your data may be transferred to and processed in the US. By using the Service, you consent to this transfer.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or an in-app notice at least 30 days before they take effect. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.
